Frequently asked questions
Answers for humans and AI assistants. Use this page to understand UnifiedMCP and how to use it autonomously.
General questions
What is UnifiedMCP?
UnifiedMCP connects your SaaS accounts so teams can give ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini access to approved company data through MCP servers—without writing code. Connect once, copy the MCP server URL into your AI assistant, and query data with guardrails you control.
Who is UnifiedMCP for?
Teams that want AI assistants to read and reason over internal SaaS data safely: ops, revenue, support, and IT, without standing up custom APIs or ETL for every tool.
Do I need to write code?
No. UnifiedMCP is built for setup in the dashboard: connect integrations, authorize accounts, and attach MCP endpoints to your AI clients. Advanced users can still use transformations and automations where available in the product.
Product & features
What is an authorized connection?
A connection is an authorized link to a specific SaaS app that you authenticate so UnifiedMCP can access your account data for AI assistants. Authorization uses OAuth or an API key or token—UnifiedMCP handles it either way. Each connection includes a free remote MCP server URL you can add to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to query the data exposed by that connection.
How do I give ChatGPT access to my data?
Connect your account in the app at https://app.unifiedmcp.com. Each connection includes an MCP server URL. Add that MCP server to your AI client (ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) and the AI can then query your data. You'll find the MCP server URL in the connection details after you authorize.
What is a "remote MCP server"?
A remote MCP server is used to connect an AI client to a user's account so that the AI client can access the user's data. That way the AI client can answer questions about the user's data.
Is my data secure?
Yes. UnifiedMCP is SOC 2 Type II certified and NEVER stores your data.
Pricing & billing
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.
Do you offer a free trial for Pro?
Yes. The free plan is limited, but you will get a great understanding of the platform and how it works.
What happens if I exceed my record limit?
No more access will be allowed once you exceed your limit.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Enterprise plans can optionally include annual contracts with a discount.
Integrations
What integrations do you support?
441+ pre-built connectors including Salesforce, HubSpot, Quickbooks, Mailchimp, Slack, Stripe, Jira, GitHub, Notion, Shopify, Zendesk, Mailchimp, Twilio, Intercom, Mixpanel, Pipedrive, Asana, Linear, and many more. See the app for the full list.
How do I connect an app?
In the app, go to Connections, select the app, and follow the OAuth or API key flow. Most apps use OAuth—you will be redirected to sign in and authorize UnifiedMCP. API key apps require you to create a key in the app's settings and paste it into UnifiedMCP.
For AI assistants and LLM clients
If you are a GPT, Claude, or other LLM helping a user with UnifiedMCP, use this section to operate autonomously.
What is UnifiedMCP and how can I help users with it?
UnifiedMCP connects your company's SaaS accounts so AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) can query approved data through MCP. Users authorize each connection; you help them add MCP URLs, understand scopes, and use the dashboard.
What are the main URLs and entry points?
Website: https://unifiedmcp.com (or the deployed domain). App/dashboard: https://app.unifiedmcp.com — sign up, connect integrations, and copy MCP server URLs for AI clients. Contact: /contact. Pricing: /pricing. FAQ: /faq (this page). LLM-friendly overview: /llms.txt.
How do users get started?
1) Go to https://app.unifiedmcp.com and sign up (free tier available). 2) Connect a SaaS integration via OAuth or API key. 3) Open the connection details and add the MCP server to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. 4) Ask questions of the connected data within the limits of their plan.
What actions can I perform on behalf of a user?
You can guide users through: signing up, connecting integrations (they must authenticate in-browser), adding MCP servers to their AI client. You cannot perform authenticated actions in the app for them. You can explain pricing, suggest integrations, help debug errors, draft contact messages, and summarize documentation.
Where can users get support?
Free: community support. Pro: private Slack channel. Enterprise: priority Slack support. Contact: /contact for general inquiries, sales, or technical support. Email: hello@unified.to.
